    Introduction:

The content of an educational book includes definitions of theories, principles, facts, activities, or messages that are presented to the audience in the form of writing or images. Using images to convey educational concepts has a long history. The ancient Egyptians were the first nation to use writing and images to convey messages. Hieroglyphic lines were actually a type of visual line. Buddhist monks and church fathers were the first educators who used images to express historical and religious issues in churches or temples. Before the advent of Islam, Mani, one of the religious leaders of ancient Iran, realized the importance of painting in understanding religious and social issues. Pestalzzi, a European educator, was the first to emphasize the use of images in textbooks to motivate children. Image is the expression of topics, concepts, descriptions, communication, values, quantity or quality of objects and characters in two or three dimensions. Images may be included in textbooks in the form of pictures, drawings, maps, charts, tables, diagrams, and clips.

The art of illustration refers to the selection and use of explanatory and descriptive images to express concepts. In illustration, painters, photographers, graphic artists, illustrators, psychologists, authors, teachers, subject specialists, and art directors may work together, sometimes in groups of two or three, so that they can convey a message to the audience effectively. The art of illustration is subject to certain principles and criteria. Illustrators' awareness of these criteria helps to improve the quality of educational images.

Image expression without creativity will be mechanical and non-lasting The viewer should see elegance and innovation in the image of intelligence. The emergence of creativity in the image strengthens the divergent in the viewer. The creativity of the image does not only reflect the text, but also allows the reader to freely use his imagination and creativity when communicating with words and images. The imaginativeness of the images can be a factor in the emergence of creativity and talent in children. Images that have a motivational aspect can encourage the child to actively participate in substituting mental images or ideas. Imaginary images not only do not limit the child's mind, but also encourage the expansion of his mind and imagination.

Imaginary images provide him with the possibility of imagining the presence of the child in various situations full of thoughts and discovering and following phenomena. Obviously, one should be careful in using the element of fantasy in scientific subjects. The interaction between the illustrator and the author is a necessity in this regard, and also the images should create motivation and questions in the reader, so that his mind is activated when he sees the images and his interest in discovery is awakened in him. The beginning of educational books according to the type of book, along with various and related images, is effective in stimulating the curiosity of the learners. In illustrating for children, first of all, attention should be paid to the design close to their minds. Then he presented more complex and diverse images. Image variety is important in educational books. Because educational books should be able to strengthen the artistic taste in students in different parts of the country. Paying attention to various methods of illustration, for example, a humorous look at the picture can increase the child-friendliness and fun of educational books and increase its educational load. The use of small characters such as animals and funny pictures or flowers is necessary to relieve fatigue and strengthen the artistic taste and imagination in primary school audiences.
