    Abstract

    Home is the first and most important space where a person experiences the feeling of belonging to a place. The safe house is the interaction between the soul and the human body. When life in all its dimensions flourishes in the house, when the possibility of realizing various experiences for human presence in the space is provided. Spaces with different qualities are needed in the house to make it possible for humans to experience all kinds of spatial feeling such as solitude, gathering, private, public, dark, bright, open, closed, intimate, magnificent and so on. to understand in all kinds of spaces of the house and the resulting combinations. This is how, in addition to the material needs, the spiritual needs of a person are met in the house.

    However, the organization of most contemporary houses does not have such richness and spatial diversity and is unable to adequately respond to the needs of the human soul and body. Fixed organization of house spaces and assigning specific functions to limited spaces and not using internal architectural factors such as light, height, dimensions, proportions, etc., are among the reasons for the lack of diversity in contemporary home spaces. Also, considering the furniture and fixed elements for every place, it is possible to design multi-functional and diverse spaces from contemporary houses.

    Historical architecture of Iran has found and presented the answer to the material and spiritual needs of man in the spaces of the house through architectural solutions. In the Iranian house, the spaces are not closed in themselves, the walls and ceilings expand through the connection with oneself, nature and the landscape, and in this situation, the possibility of human contact with the sky, trees, light and shadow is provided. It has also been possible for him to perceive different types of private and public experiences. Since the past designers and architects of this land have been successful in providing a suitable spatial answer for the container of life, the house, learning from their criteria and methods in optimizing and increasing the quality of the interior of the contemporary home seems to be a suitable way. In fact, in this research, an attempt is made to improve the spatial qualities inside the contemporary house of Isfahan by learning from the criteria of internal organization of space in the historical houses of Isfahan. In order to find the answer to the main question of the research, which is how to use and modernize the architectural methods and interior design of historical houses to create today's house, there is a need to investigate the spaces and elements and factors of the internal architecture of historical houses and how the two-way influence of the lifestyle and the spaces of the house, which in this research through preparation, investigation and analysis. Maps, pictures, materials and interviews with the residents have been done.

    Learning from historical houses for contemporary house design, learning from their methods and ways of spatial response to the need to flow the container of life in the container of the house and not just repeating the forms and elements of traditional architecture. In fact, the knowledge and awareness of the definitions and concepts in the spaces of historical houses, the new narration and expression of those concepts and adding to their richness based on contemporary needs and facilities, which leads to the achievement of a suitable design  House is the first and the most important space which its place in human experience makes sense. Home is the shelter of interaction between human mind and human body. When all dimensions of life can flourishat homein which possibility of achieving  experience in space will be provided for variety of human presence. Home needs spaces with different qualities that is possible for people to feel that kind of space, such as retreats, gatherings, private, public, dark, bright, open, close, intimate, elegant and etc. and to understand it in home spaces in a variety of compounds. In addition to material needs, spiritual needs of manare provided 

    humanbody. Assigning specific functions to limited space and failing to take advantage of the interior design like light, height, dimensions, proportions and etc.  are the reasons for the absence of diversity within the spaces of contemporary homes.Also considering furniture and stationary elements for each location  get  the possibility of multi-functional design  and various spaces of contemporary homes. The historical architecture  of Iran answers to material and to spiritual needs of people within the home environment through architectural solutions and offers. Spaces in Iranian`s home don`t limit, walls and ceilings are developed through its connection with nature and landscape. Since the past designers and architects of this land  have been successful in providing response in suitable space for living, housing, learn the criteria and methods stooptimize and toenhance the quality of the contemporary home is a good way. Infact, in this study, Itis  trying to improve the spatial qualities of the interior space of contemporary house is organized through the learning standards of the historic house in Isfahan. In order to answer the main question, also research is how benefit, how appropriate contemporary style of architecture and how interior design to create home today. It is Need to consider interior spaces and elements of historic homes, mutual influence of lifestyle and  home spaces which in this research has been one through the preparation, review, analysis of maps and images content and interviews with residents. Learn from historic home to design the  contemporary home, learn from methods and ways to their spatial responses  are required flow of life within the  home space, it is not repetition of traditional architectural forms and elements. Indeed, recognition and understanding the definitions and concepts in the areas of historic homes, the new story and expression of those concepts and add the richness of them are the basis of needs and contemporary facilities which cause to achieve suitable home design. Key words: Dwelling, privacy, diversity within the spaces, multi-functional  and various spaces, furniture and stationary elements, connection to nature, the connection between interior and exterior spaces, spaces and architectural elements in historic house, expansion and development of spaces.
